Curtis Van Bullock

Curtis Van Bullock, 91, of Littleton, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017.

He was the son of the late Alexander and Laura Pace Bullock, and was also preceded in death by his son, Dennis (Pedro) Bullock; his grandson, Curtis Garner; his brothers, Willie Bullock, Alex Bullock, Jr., and William Richard Bullock; his sisters, Vera B. Lee, Laura B. Pearson, Annie B. Boyd, Lillian B. Cross, Marilyn B. Barnardini and Marie B. Case.

Curtis began his career at J.P. Stevens. He moved to Halifax Paper Company when it opened until becoming a National Field Representative with the AFL-CIO. He also served his country in the US Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of V.F.W. and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Annie Ruth Cross Bullock; his son, Jerry (Bunny) Bullock of Roanoke Rapids; his daughter, Maria Bullock of Spokane, WA; his daughter in law, Nancy G. Bullock of Emporia, VA; his special daughter, Sue M. Chinn of Spokane, WA; his sister, Evelyn B. Hunnicutt of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Brian (Missy) Bullock of Emporia, VA, Kathy Kikendall of Fuquay Varina, NC, Kevin (Tracy) Bullock of Emporia, VA, Stacy (Kevin) Powell of Angier, NC, Alison (Gary) Powell of Willow Springs, NC, Laura (Steven) Ellis of Roanoke Rapids; great grandchildren, Lee Bullock, Courtney (Dustyn) Sampson, Matthew Bullock, Hunter Bullock, Graden Bullock, Kyle Kikendall, Kimberly Kikendall, Kelly Kikendall, George Powell, Lilly Powell, Jake Ellis; great-great grandchildren, Trey Bullock, Seth Sampson; special friend, Ronnie West of Littleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
